The IHF Council decided today in Paris to replay the Asian Qualification Tournaments for both men and women for the 2008 Olympic Games. These will be held before the end of January 2008. The organisation and technical details of the tournaments will be under the full responsibility of the IHF and further information will be released within the next 72 hours.

IHF President Dr Hassan Moustafa commented that \"we have come to a positive conclusion for the sport of handball, which follows on from the huge success of the Women\'s World Championship in Paris.\"
